Wish List for Demon Hunters in TWW (2024)

Things I would LOVE to see for myself and fellow Illidari:

• Customization of demon form: Come’on Blizz - you’ve got this great story “Illidan” novel that details how we each had to kill and consume a particular demon as part of our transformation. Let us reflect that in our demon forms! In my mind, I’ve decided my demon was a felbat. I’d like to look more batty when I transform.
• Epic Illidari Tabard: Some of you know about and have found our two Illidari tabards (green and purple), but these are green items with no special features. I would pay the Blizz shop or trading card vendors for an epic Illidari tabard that teleports us to Mardum. Or Black Temple, Idc, just something cool and special.
• SOFT LANDING FOR VENGEANCE: 99% of WoW agrees VDH will need more tuning for TWW. I was one of those advocating against Illuminated Sigils from the time it was first announced, before it ever went live. The talent is broken. This affects Havoc in a negative way because Vengeance takes their place in groups wanting DH buff. This affects other tanks in negative way because VDH is ultra-meta. This affects all players in negative way because they get lazy expecting VDH to do all the cc. BUT… Let us down easy please? The recent VDH nerfs were a good first step, significant enough to be felt, but certainly not enough to break our spirits. I just want to keep the spec fun to play, while also bringing it in line with other tanks. If I were in charge of class design, I would revert those recent nerfs (i.e., SoS back to 60 seconds, etc.) and instead have Illuminated Sigils only affect our dps sigils (Flame and Elysian).
• Reskin or offer alternate skins for our Felbat class mount. Ok this one is just personal preference, but I’d prefer to look dark and brooding not gold and shiny. Our class mount wears pally armor lol. The NPC felbat mounts (the ones flight vendors put you on leaving DH zones) are more to my taste. I know, I know, most players want to be the shiniest thing in the room, but I prefer dark, like Batman.
• Fix VDH animations (hearthing, mounting...) so they don't break after meta.
• Cool animations for Hero Talents.

Things I could care less about:

• 3rd spec that doesn’t fit the established lore.

I want a 3rd spec and there are lots of ways to fit a 3rd spec into established lore and/or make new lore.

The only one of your ideas that I'm really big on is the soft landing. You're 100% correct that they made us OP and we're due for more nerfs, but...yeah...I'm scared they're going to break us

I hope that the talent that says “the effects of your demon form persist in a lesser state” could give us some visuals.
Like permanent wings or demon spikes.

A ranged third spec.

I already enjoy the rework mostly. I kind of just want a build where the tuning around Ignition or Momentum don't seem mandatory and for Fel-scarred to be a bit less boring.

I think DHs are long overdue for their own Soar in demon form but it seems unlikely.
